The gems of designer furniture for kids

Object design is a real source of inspiration for me so when I learned that the Center Pompidou in Paris was going to organize an exhibition on the Childhood of Design and the history of furniture for kids, I had to 'first jumped and joy. And then I wanted to share with you 10 of my favorite fun pieces. The opportunity to dream a little, to get inspired and to allow kids to transform their living spaces into real playgrounds.

Because design often responds to functional issues, children's furniture offers another playful facet that meets children's play needs. Thanks to them, designers do not simply question the functional use of an object but also its playability potential. And personally, I am totally seduced by this vision of design at the height of small giants! Because it allows us to leave our comfort zone and approach our relationship with objects with a regressive and amused look.

So thank you kids, for inspiring the designers and making this world a space where the gaming experience is a real source of learning and inspiration!

The exhibition The Childhood of Design, a Century of Design Furniture will take place from April 24 to August 12, 2024 at the Pompidou Center in Paris!
